More than 40 years ago, in 1973, the first ever handheld phone was brought out by Motorola. Since then, mobile phones have progressed in ways we couldn’t even have imagined. With many handsets now offering features that once upon a time only existed in sci-fi films, technology really has advanced to momentous levels.

Nokia 3310
How could we possibly compile a list of the best phones in history without including the Nokia 3310? Released in 2000, replaying the 3210, the 3310 went on to dominate mobile markets for a short while.
At the time of its release, the 3310 was seen to be a sleek, compact phone that had all the features of the 3210, but in a smaller and lighter frame. How we could we also forget about the best mobile phone game in history – Snake!
Motorola RAZR
With the first version of the RAZR being released in 2001, it was originally intended to be a limited-edition premium phone. However, the RAZR's demand became so great that eventually everybody had one. Sony Ericsson W880i
The W800 may have been Sony Ericsson's first Walkman phone, but the W880i was the first one we coveted. Back in 20016, the sleek, brushed-metal handset that was great for playing music was released. This handset opened up an entirely new realm of music playing for technology enthusiasts.
Apple iPhone 3G
Released in 2008, the original iPhone was the one to launch smartphones into the technological stratosphere. While it lacked the speedy on-the-go connectivity that we see today, the 3G was the start of something huge and offered users with a lot more interaction than other brands of mobile phone.
Samsung Galaxy S II
In 2011, we were first introduced to the Samsung Galaxy range. The S II was one of the best Android pones on the market at that time and Samsung continues to impress and wow its loyal audience.
