In an ever changing saturated mobile phone market, it is becoming increasingly difficult to stand out and appeal to every mobile user. Most handset users want a high end phone, capable of everything imaginable, yet at a fraction of the price. The customer has so much spending power these days, with the introduction of comparison sites to help you chose from all things ranging from car insurance down to which holiday agency to use, the customer is now clued up and is shopping around for the best phones at the best prices.
Samsung has recently somewhat realised this and have released their brand new Galaxy A5 handset, which boasts an impressive set of specifications that could be a breakthrough in this tough industry. A sleek lightweight metal frame surrounds this fantastic piece of kit, and with a 5 inch screen it is almost the perfect size to fit in one’s hand whilst still been able to utilise the full device.
This brand new handset can also proudly shout about its impressive 2GB ram which will allow you to surf the net, download apps and play games comfortably. The handset also has a 14MP camera function which will allow you to capture all of life’s memorable moments in a clear crisp image. Not bad for a mid-range handset, right? The Samsung Galaxy A5 was released alongside the supporting A3 and A7 range, and this handset is right to be playing piggy in the middle, as compared to the other two devices it sits slap bang in the middle in terms of size and specifications.
Referring back to the original statement of customers shopping power and mobile price wars brings us along nicely to one of the main aspects of this new range. You’d be expecting to pay a fortune for this piece of kit, leaving a nice hole in your wallet. You’ll be pleasantly surprised that you can grab this device from as little as £119.99 from independent retailers as well as £16.99 per month on a pay monthly contract. An absolute snippet if you compare it to some of the market leaders, such as the latest Apple devices.
Have Samsung managed to grab a unique niche slice of the market in releasing this mid-range handset, but at a very affordable price? The verdict is still out and it remains to be seen, but this could be the start of a new type of handset for the future and hopefully a price reduction in what we pay for top devices.
